So... i knew this weekend could have gone two ways...hauled up in the house with no money (or even petrol for that matter) to go anywhere or a trip to pizza express for a yummy dinner date.
On friday it was all hot cups of tea and coffee, sitting in front of the tv with a huge blanket and about a hundred candles lit.
Do you like my home made tea cosy? It once was a hat!
We rushed home on Friday evening anticipating the arrival of the mighty super-cheques that Jack gets from work as an extra little bonus for working so hard. To our huge disappointment they weren't there. (que the sad face). Jack was working on Saturday day so after i dropped him off i peeked into our mail box again in the hopes that the postman had been... and yes they where finally here!
I met Jack in town after he finished work and we wandered around town for a bit picking up some Christmas presents along the way then we went straight to pizza express after..i was starving!!
We had the Etna...just the right amount of spicy.
Polenta chips are like the more sophisticated potato chip...have you ever tried these?
Hot chocolate fudge cake and a mocheiato for dessert!
I picked up some lovely vintage wrapping paper, its from Poundland...i know!
Rolling home about 9pm we put on our pjs and got cosy on the sofa.
We sleeply opened our eyes around 10 on Sunday morning, but stayed lost under the duvet for a little longer. By 2pm we were once again snuggled under "Big Red" the blanket sipping hot chocolate and watching the santa clause.

We met Pippin today who is the sweetest little thing.
She was wagging her tail so hard it was a blur..seriously how cute is she?? she reminded me of Lady from Lady and the Tramp!
